THE HANDBOOK

WHAT THIS IS

Our family now runs its money-and-promises life like a small democracy. Nothing about love, dinner, or daily life changes. What changes is one thing: big promises get written down, and a written promise needs two of our three signatures to count. "If Yiming ships X by September, he gets Y" — that's a law now, with a page, a deadline, and a record. No more remembering differently.

YOUR THREE TOOLS

Your PIN. Six digits, yours alone. Typing your name plus your PIN on the website is exactly the same as signing in ink. Never share it, never sign for someone else — the record shows who signed.

The website. law.mingllm.com — everything lives there: the constitution, every bill, every signature, every payment. If the website and someone's memory disagree, the website wins.

Sunday. We sit at the table once a week. Reports (two minutes each), bills read aloud, signatures given or declined, disagreements heard. Two people at the table is enough to hold it.

HOW TO SIGN A BILL

01

Open the bill's page (from the Registry, or the link someone sends you). Read it — the 中文 summary is at the top.

PRIORITY 1
02

Not sure? Say "tomorrow." You always get 24 hours to think, no questions asked. Nothing signs after 10pm.

PRIORITY 2
03

To sign: press E-sign · PIN, pick your name, enter your PIN. Or sign the printed copy in ink and photograph it.

PRIORITY 3
04

To decline: just don't sign. You never need a reason, and it can never be held against you.

PRIORITY 4

HOW MONEY MOVES

Family money over $500, and every "money for a finished task" deal at any amount, moves only under a signed law. When the task is done, the doer clicks Claim milestone with proof (a link, a screenshot). A different person checks the proof within 3 days and clicks verify. Once verified, the money must be paid within 7 days — that's the strongest rule in our whole constitution. The receipt goes on the record and it's done.

THE HANDBOOK

IF YOU DISAGREE

Bring it to Sunday. All three of us hear both sides and vote — that's our court. Some things no law can ever touch: your own money and savings, your room and your phone, anything you didn't sign. And anything said at the Sunday table can never be used against you later. The system is built so that the worst day still goes fairly.
